Builder's note on this model: the silhouette of the Windy SR 44 BlackHawk is the result of a collaboration between the Dubois design office and the shipyard. Meanwhile, the interior design has been entrusted to the skilled hands of the English firm Design Unlimited. This dream team has the mission to challenge competing brands like Fjord, Pardo, and other Mazu Yachts on their own turf, with particular care given to the deck layout. Extended by a large hydraulic bathing platform, the cockpit offers several possible configurations. A spacious cockpit features a central rear bench allowing free passage on both sides of the boat, and a massive U-shaped deck lounge. A sunbathing area is located at the stern, above the engine room. The sea behavior is commendable. Easily overcoming waves with authority while showing a certain flexibility at the helm, the boat navigates on a hull perfectly suited to Mediterranean conditions. Powered by the new D6 440 engines – each delivering 440 hp – the boat exceeds 38 knots. It should be noted that the shipyard reports a top speed of 42 knots on flat water and under optimal conditions. Comfortable, fluid, and functional The simplicity of the layout is another strong point of the boat, with a very segmented aspect favoring circulation. In the center, the streamlined T-top, which includes two translucent panels and can be extended by an electric bimini, houses an outdoor kitchen, protected under a flap, in addition to the helm station. Equipped as standard with Glass cockpit technology, it features particularly polished contours, with special mention for the helm. In summary, a magnificent unit ready to sail this season.
